Dr Daniel Friedgut completed a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of New South Wales and graduated in 2008. ​

He obtained his Fellowship in Anaesthesia from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA)  in 2017 and completed his fellowship training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, which focussed on anaesthesia for upper gastro-intestinal and cardiac surgery.

He has also completed a Masters in Pain Management at the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Ultrasound at the University of Melbourne.

Dr Friedgut’s areas of expertise include anaesthesia for upper gastrointestinal surgery, breast and endocrine surgery, head and neck and ENT surgery, as well as paediatric anaesthesia.

He has public appointments as a VMO anaesthetist at Prince of Wales Hospital, Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital and Canterbury Hospital.  He also has a busy private practice, including at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse Hospital, Waratah Hospital, Sydney Private Hospital, and Sydney Southwest Private Hospital.

Dr Friedgut provides a high quality of care to his patients, in collaboration with the surgical/proceduralist team.  His patients particularly value and appreciate his calm, reassuring and accessible manner.
