Dr Ruben Cohen-Hallaleh has extensive general and breast surgery experience. He maintains a high-volume clinical practice due to his commitment across multiple hospitals in Sydney, where he treats hundreds of patients each year. He is dedicated to translating the latest evidence-based, surgical and non-invasive medical science into individualised patient care.
About Me
Dr Ruben Cohen-Hallaleh is trained in general surgery, with a specialisation in breast cancer and endocrine surgery.
He offers his patients the latest surgical techniques and non-invasive treatments, taking a careful consideration for each patient and their unique circumstance.
His extensive experience includes a wide range of general surgery operations, including hernia repairs, gall bladder removal, endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy), melanoma and soft tissue tumour removal.
With a special interest in oncoplastic breast surgery, Dr Cohen-Hallaleh maintains an aesthetic approach to both benign and cancerous breast conditions, and applies the latest reconstructive techniques to preserve natural form and shape during the one procedure. His focus is on achieving the best outcomes in both cancer surgery and breast appearance, enabling women to maintain their breast shape and body image after surgery.

Dr Ruben Cohen-Hallaleh is a Conjoint Associate Lecturer at UNSW and an Associate Senior Lecturer at Western Sydney University.
Throughout his career, Dr Cohen-Hallaleh has showed great initiative, skill and dedication as a surgeon, scientist, researcher and educator.
His research has been widely published in medical journals and presented in medical forums internationally, such as Japan and Spain. Dr Cohen-Hallaleh continues to actively be involved in research and clinical trials, particularly in the field of breast cancer.
He is an instructor with the College of Surgeons and teaches on multiple courses.
